Elementor | Setting it up using WordPress and Elementor

Ok, so while I’ve been self isolating at home I finally “found the time” to set up my blog and the social and email marketing that branches from it.

I’m writing four brief blog posts using the Gutenberg editor so that I have content that will dynamically load when I need to see how my blog is looking in the browser. The term “dynamic” will become clearer – please stay with me…

My first challenge was the fact that my Gutenberg editor would not allow me to add a block. Luckily, after some research, I found a great plugin called Elementor Blocks for Gutenberg. It has worked perfectly.

The reason I needed to use the Gutenberg editor to create my content is because of the “dynamic” nature of a blog. Dynamic refers to web content that changes based on the behaviour, preferences, and interests of the user.  For example when you want to sort from lowest price to highest price or by topic.

I want full control of my blog post appearance so I intend to build a custom blog page template and a custom single blog post template using Elementor Pro.

Now I need to upload and set my Featured Image. The Featured Image needs to be 1200 x 628 pixels.

The last thing I need to do now is choose the Category and Tags I want attached to this Blog Post.

Stay tuned for the next blog post as I move through this project.
